We are a registered charity and the only young women’s film academy in the UK

We are based in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England

We give girls and young women the space to tell their unique, individual stories and the creative skills to communicate their ideas using youthwork principles and health & wellbeing approaches

The Young Women’s Film Academy is an official delivery partner for the 12 week Own My Life training for women and professionals and for the current pilot Inspired to Own My Life training for young women aged 14+

Own My Life is a transformative method enabling women who have been subjected to abuse to regain ownership of their lives
